Ephraim's - traditional restaurant with home-style cooking
With a visit to Ephraim's you can treat yourself to an evening full of hearty German specialities. The restaurant looks back on a long history. You can now find a table at DiscoEat.
Already in the Middle Ages the Ephraim-Palais was located in the heart of Berlin's Nikolai quarter and was extensively renovated in the 18th century in rococo style. It has survived after many upheavals in history until today and now offers you as a high-quality restaurant a rustic, traditional ambience. On the table you will find above all good plain cooking from Germany.
As starter DiscoEat recommends for example the Caprese plate or the light Ephraim's salad with chicken strips, fruit and cocktail sauce. In addition, the Hungarian goulash soup and the lemon grass soup with smoked salmon strips are a good start to the evening. The main course includes hearty dishes such as Berlin knuckle of pork, fried sausage pan and breaded veal escalope Viennese style. Also popular are beef roulades, veal liver, veal cream goulash and Berlin Kasselerbraten with prunes and bacon sauerkraut. Those who prefer fish can order Spreewald trout and redfish fillet. For vegetarians, Ephraim's Restaurant has, among other things, creamed mushrooms au gratin, vegetable ice cream pan and celery schnitzel. Pleasant surprises await you on the dessert menu: Here you will discover warm Tyrolean apple strudel with vanilla sauce, marzipan praline ice cream the way the house does, pancakes with blueberries and Berlin berry groats. Milkshakes, cakes and ice cream creations are also popular. Ephraim's is located on the banks of the Spree near the underground stations Märkisches Museum and Klosterstraße.
